FHS Literary Daze
 
Period 2
Morning college prep students had a slightly shortened period today due to extended homeroom as well as announcements. We did warmups to start us off, then whiteboard sentences and the slideshow (again sans pictures, as the projector remains on the blitz).  After some intense poetry practice, students received a new seating chart (for the duration of Animal Farm) based on their animals. Homework: Make a tag for yourself with your animal on it. If you did not receive a sticker for your animal, you must draw one or print one off the Internet and affix it to your tag.

Period 3
Morning honors students began with warmups and poetry practice. After a quick homework check, we worked on Chapter 3 of Animal Farm (finishing all but a page and a half in class). Homework: Finish reading Chapter 3, then do the Chapter 1 and 2 questions. You need to make flash cards for tomorrow, study the poem, and journal as usual.

Period 6
Afternoon college prep students did warmups, whiteboard sentences, and the slideshow (again, sans pictures due to projector malfunctioning) before practicing the Prologue to Romeo and Juliet. The remainder of class was spent sorting out who will enact what parts in Animal Farm, making tags, changing the seating chart, and reviewing what transpired in Chapter 2. Homework: Besides journaling and studying the 3-2 poetry worksheet, you need to finish reading Chapter 2, write up the Seven Commandments, and do the questions for Chapters 1 and 2.

Period 7 did not meet today.
