Period 2 Morning college prep students started with whiteboard sentences (arbitrary + brazen) and the slideshow, then worked on memorizing the Prologue (worksheet 7-2). We then spent the rest of period reading Chapter 4 of Animal Farm. Homework: Write, illustrate, and color your Squealer-type argument. Period 3 Morning honors students began with journaling, then practiced the Prologue (worksheet 8-1); we are all done with Prologue Practice because today, every single student in class made a 100!!! Congratulations, everybody! After a quick check of last night's vocabulary review, we began reading Chapter 8 in Animal Farm. Homework: Finish reading Chapter 8. Period 7 Afternoon honors students began with journaling, then practiced the Prologue (worksheet 6-2). We then tackled Chapter 7 of Animal Farm. Homework: You should finish reading Chapter 7, then create EITHER a Most Wanted poster for Snowball or else a Pigs Gone Wild trifold to illustrate the pigs' many transgressions at this point in the novel. Period 6 Afternoon college prep students began with whiteboard sentences (catalyst + exodus), slideshow, and Prologue practice (worksheet 8-1). We then continued reading Animal Farm.
